For fifteen years, I have studied different approaches to physical conditioning. My understanding of the human body stems from my athletic and classical dance training, but also from my own experience with chronic pain following a severe back injury. After much experimentation with healing treatments, I recovered my own well-being using Pilates techniques based on a combination of certification workshops in Canada, United States, and England from Stott Pilates and The Method. My personal recovery taught me that when we are properly motivated and guided to discover our natural state of physical balance, we look and feel much better.
My personal training method applies the idea that the safest, most productive forms of physical conditioning require a precise awareness of the connection – the very fine balance – between muscle strength, spinal alignment, movement and breathing technique. Clients are encouraged to take an active role in improving and maintaining their physical health through self-care programs that can be done at home in order to support the positive changes that take place during the private sessions. Expanded personal knowledge through Yoga, Tai Chi and neuromuscular re-patterning to produce best advice on exercise methodology and nutritional consulting.
